Our first Train Walks depart!
The first of the summer's Train Walks have taken place in Northern Ireland and Cheshire.
Thirty families were on board for the NAS Cheshire Branch Train Walk on Saturday 16 May.
The Train Walk was held in the peaceful surroundings of Delamere Forest and Esther Fletcher, Branch secretary, was delighted that the event was such a big hit with local families who took part:
"Everyone had a great day, despite the rather gloomy, damp weather. Lots of families said they would go back to the forest again as their children had enjoyed the walk so much! The Branch are grateful not only to those who helped with the organisation of the event but all those who turned up and walked, some of whom had travelled long distances."
Esther is now busily counting the sponsorship money raised through the event.
