Swindon Train Walk

Emma Gunston had a huge amount of fun putting together her Train Walk in Lydiard Park, Swindon.  Emma's nephew, four-year-old Thomas, was diagnosed with autism last year and ever since the family has been learning how to cope with his condition. Emma said:

"It was a bit of a shock, and now we want to raise as much awareness as possible for people who have autism."

As Thomas's mum had benefitted from the support of the NAS Swindon and District Branch, Emma saw the Train Walk as a great way to do some fundraising and is thrilled to have raised over £1,200!

"When we first started planning this walk I would've been over the moon to raise a couple of hundred pounds, so to achieve that figure is just amazing. I know that this money will make a real difference to people with autism in the local area."

Emma is hugely grateful to friends, family and local businesses who got involved to help with her fantastic Train Walk fundraising effort
